Meet our Re-Source Team!

Brian Brian McBride is the Director of Wraparound Milwaukee as of June of 2018. Brian had served Milwaukee County for many years as a member of the Wraparound Milwaukee Team in the roles of: care coordinator, supervisor, program manager and director. During his time with Wraparound, Brian has been instrumental in the success of several initiatives, including launching the first episode psychosis program (CORE), offering comprehensive and specialized services and support to youth who are experiencing their first mental health crisis; developing the O-YEAH program, providing support to youth to manage the stress of life, school, work, or family, while increasing health and well-being in their transition to adulthood; implementing Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) for youth and young adults, a recovery-focused, integrated behavioral health program for individuals with severe mental illness and/or substance use disorders.
Jenna Jenna Kreuzer serves as the Associate Director for Wraparound Milwaukee.  She has over ten years of experience working with youth and families. Jenna holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Family Studies and a Master’s Degree in Social Work, both from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

 

Leanne Leanne Delsart, MS, is the Integrated Services Manager of Strategic Initiatives for Wraparound Milwaukee and Owner of LND Consulting, LLC.  For the last 19 years, Leanne has worked with children and families affected by trauma, adversity, mental health and behavioral health challenges.  She has collaborated with the Youth Justice, Child Welfare and Education systems as an advocate for children and families, and as a trainer in the fields of Trauma Informed Care, Systems of Care, Mandt, CPI, and ACEs, Motivational Interviewing, ASIST, and Wraparound philosophy and process.  Leanne has worked extensively with care taking professionals on behavioral management and crisis intervention/de-escalation, has been certified in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics through the Child Trauma Academy, and is a Master ACE trainer for the state of WI
Terri Teri Bromberek is the System of Care Trainer for Wraparound Milwaukee. She holds a BA in Psychology from Arizona State University and an MA in Education from Concordia University Wisconsin. She has spent 15 years in the field of service, working in homes with families of newborns, in the disabilities field, as a school counselor, and in school operations. She has also been a foster parent to older children in Milwaukee County. She has a love for learning and enjoys helping others of all ages learn and grow.

 

Steve Stephen Gilbertson is a licensed psychologist (clinical & consulting) and the Clinical Director of Wraparound Milwaukee programs.  His career, as a community-oriented behavioral health practitioner, has allowed for diverse collaborative pursuits and achievements. Steve has expertise in forensic psychology and decades of experience consulting across systems which impact youth and families. Most Care Coordinators encounter Steve in his high-risk consulting role, with special emphasis upon those youth & families challenged by sexual abuse-exploitation-trauma, other maltreatment, and family-community violence exposure.
Chris Chris Shafer is the Program Manager for the Education Liaison/Advocacy Department for Wraparound Milwaukee, the Division of Milwaukee Child Protective Services, and the Department of Youth and Family Services. Chris has worked in the field of education and advocacy for the past 45 years in both the United State and the United Kingdom, with the past 32 years being devoted to children of Wisconsin. Chris has extensive experience in the field of early childhood education and special education advocacy. She herself has been a foster parent, is an adoptive parent and has raised children with special needs.
Melanie Melanie Fleischmann has happily served youth and families in Wraparound Milwaukee since 2003; currently as the System Partnership Manager, and previously as a Screening/Options Counselor and Court Liaison.  Prior to joining Wraparound, Melanie served adults who were managing addiction in the WiSER CHOICE program utilizing the Wraparound philosophy and values.  Facilitating training has been one of her roles through most of her career in Wraparound Milwaukee.  She really enjoys her time in the training room, and is inspired by watching the professional development of our Care Coordinators. 
Samantha Samantha Lavarda, Psy.D. (Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology, 2012) is the Staff Psychologist for the Children’s Mobile Crisis (CMC) Team. Dr. Lavarda also provides supervision for the crisis services minor rotation. She works as a member of the CMC Team to assess youth in the community who are in distress, and supervises CMC Team staff to provide guidance in complex situations, diagnostic clarification, and debriefing. Dr. Lavarda is certified in the Structured Interview for Psychosis-risk Syndromes (SIPS). Additionally, Dr. Lavarda provides supervision and oversight for enrollment into all the Wraparound Milwaukee programs. Dr. Lavarda spent the first part of her career working for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections to serve people who have severe and persistent mental illness, addiction, and suicidality, as well as support others through her work on the Transgender and Peer Support committee.
Erin Erin Miller is a Quality Assurance Coordinator for Wraparound Milwaukee.  As a part of the QA team, she assists with coordinating audits, processing Critical Incident reports, and working directly with agencies to provide accountability. Additionally, Erin is the Client Rights Specialist, who enjoys working through tough situations for a favorable outcome all around. In her career, Erin has worked as a high school English teacher, a Youth Shelter Specialist, a Case Manager for adults with mental health diagnosis, a Case Manager Supervisor and Compliance Coordinator, and a QA director. Erin is thrilled to again be of service to Milwaukee’s youth and families in her position with Wraparound Milwaukee.
Maria Maria Castillo has been part of Wraparound Milwaukee for over 15 years in a variety of roles, including as a provider on teams, Care Coordinator, and Screener.  She is currently the Community Outreach Coordinator for Wraparound Milwaukee, which includes: promoting programs across the System of Care and informing community partners and agencies about programming and how to connect families. Maria enjoys working with community partners to exchange information about resources and provide learning opportunities to enhance what they already offer. Maria has extensive knowledge in the area of First Episode Psychosis and informing the community about the need for early intervention.  Maria’s strength is engaging youth who have had their onset of psychosis to participate in CORE Programming.
Rada Rada Drča is the Clinical School Liaison who collaborates with educators to identify and screen youth at a clinical high risk for developing psychosis.  Rada is certified in the Structured Interview of Psychosis-risk Syndromes (SIPS).  Rada received her BA in Psychology from Alverno College and MA in Clinical Psychology from Cardinal Stritch University, and is a LPC certified in TF-CBT who has provided therapeutic healing to children, adolescents, and their families with emphasis in treating childhood trauma and attachment disruptions.  Rada has been a part of Training for Adoption Competency (TAC) program, thus enhancing her skills of working with adoptees and their families. She is fluent in Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian languages, and enjoys working with diverse populations
Jaquaye Jaquaye Wakefield, Ph.D is a Clinical Psychologist working with youth and families in Wraparound Milwaukee to complete risk and diagnostic assessments. She also provide clinical consultation and supervision to the Wraparound Care Coordinators and Children’s Mobile Crisis Team members, including the Trauma Response Team, a program that works in collaboration with the Milwaukee Police Department to support families who have been exposed to potentially traumatic events.  Dr. Wakefield has a Master’s Degree in school counseling and served as an elementary teacher in an urban, underserved school.  Following 10 years of service to youth and families from underserved populations, Dr. Wakefield’s areas of expertise include crisis assessment and intervention and trauma-informed care.
Jenni Jenni Van Wagenen, the Youth CCS and First Episode Psychosis (CORE) Program Manager, oversees the daily program operations and supports the treatment teams using Wraparound values and process.  Jenni has worked with youth for over 17 years, starting as an Early Childhood Education Teacher and eventually landing with Wraparound Milwaukee, where she has served youth and families for over 5 years as a Care Coordinator, Screener, and Program Manager.
Steve D Dr. Steve Dykstra has been with Milwaukee County for almost 30 years, serving in a variety of roles that have provided him a wealth of experience in the areas of trauma, development, many aspects of mental illness, and both community and hospital care.  Currently, his areas of emphasis are crisis, trauma, severe mental illness including psychosis, and training and consultation with Care Coordinators, community partners and many others.  He particularly likes meeting with youth and families to sort out complex issues and answer important questions.
Rashaan Rashaan Cherry has worked in the social services field for 20 years in several different capacities.  She started her career working within the Wraparound Milwaukee System of Care in 2009 and worked in various roles of Care Coordinator, Supervisor and Program Manager.  She is currently the Integrated Services Manager SOC for Wraparound Milwaukee and has the responsibility of overseeing all grant funded projects within the Wraparound System of Care.
Rhoda Rhoda Jordan has been committed to serving youth and families with Wraparound Milwaukee for 8 years in various roles as Care Coordinator, Supervisor and Program Manager. She is passionate about empowering families through a lens of compassion, equity and justice. A passion that was sparked in her undergraduate experience and career at UW Madison. She proudly worked to support and advocate underrepresented students as the As. Director of Diversity Programs creating and implementing training to educate and promote more inclusive and safe spaces so all students could thrive.  She continued to empower youth in her own community serving as the Youth Racial Justice Coordinator with the YWCA working in the Milwaukee, Wauwatosa and Oak Creek school districts to encourage youth to think about their communities and encourage them to be catalyst of change. Currently continuing to do what she loves, serving as a coach/trainer helping to develop a strong workforce committed to helping heal families and communities.
Verneesha Verneesha Banks, M.S. is a coach/trainer for Wraparound Milwaukee. She is responsible for providing training, consultation and ongoing coaching support to various agencies that are contracted with Wraparound Milwaukee to provide care coordination and other supportive services. Verneesha Banks brings 23 years of experience working with children and families involved in the mental health system. She has provided direct service for families as well as supervised and trained others in the Wraparound process. She is a graduate of Alverno College of Milwaukee and obtained her Master’s of Science in Community Mental Health from Trinity college of Vermont.  Verneesha is also a treatment foster/adoptive parent of 22 years, caring for children with severe emotional and behavioral concerns. She has adopted 7 children and has 4 biological children. She is a dedicated advocate for family rights and has trained nationally on the Wraparound process for various communities over the years. She has also trained new foster parents on working with birth families and providing culturally responsive care to children in foster care.
